Fridah Wairimu Wambura, aged 39 from Kithiriti in Mwea Constituency, Kirinyaga County happens to have succumbed depression. She is not new to the residents of Kutus and neighbouring towns.
She mostly used to camp at the Kutus carpark lot adjacent to Kutus Comprehensive School near the transportation lorries where she would smoke, chew miraa wastes and make all necessary noise that would make her happy.
She got engrossed to this lifestyle which according to her was normal life.
Mostly she would be cladded in tatters and would barely take bath - she minded her own business. 🙈
She would brave all the challenges of weather as she had no shelter to scamper from rain, scorching sun and for safety.
Many knew her as 'chizi wa Kutus' (Kutus mad woman) but now is currently totally healed from the condition. While being interviewed by Morgan Media Tv Fridah disclosed she has been battling with acute depression for sometime, a condition which took her to the streets as a beggar and mentally handicapped casualty.
Live interview video 👇👇👇
Fridah used to be a miraa trader and had thrived well in the business. Worst happened after separating from her estranged husband. Fridah seemed okey but ostensibly had gradually sunk into depression and dejection from her friends and close family members who could not understand and feel her plight.
Eventually she moved in to the streets of Kutus where she scavenged food from trash bins and garbage skips. She literally made the streets her home where she slept and enjoyed her life. This also made her to become a victim of drug addiction where she smoke and chewed miraa wastes... An ending sad story about Fridah can not be penned down here.... She really suffered in the streets until a time for her life turn-around came.
Fridah was later taken to hospital on 26th September 2025 where she was diagnosed with acute depression. She was admitted for 2 months, treated and given a prescription of antidepressant drugs which alleviated the condition. She got into a consistent medication and now she confesses she is fully healed and normal. She confessed to me she is not the same abnormal person she was in the streets. I remember when she was in that condition I could buy her some foodstuffs hoping one day she would get healed and fully recover.
She is now a happy, healthy, demure and bubbly lady.
Am glad she was able to confide to me many things about depression as we enjoyed breakfast together in a hotel in Kutus Town. Viewer and listener if you would like to be a blessing to Fridah you can reach her on 0736 272 472. She will give you an M-PESA phone number which you can use to channel your support. Together let's help her rise and shine again. Together we can help her get her own hustle which can enable her eke out a living.

DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua has launched a blistering attack on President William Ruto, accusing him of abandoning a country in crisis to indulge in luxury abroad as Kenyans grapple with soaring fuel prices, business losses and nationwide unrest.
"William Ruto is moving around with four girls from Seychelles to massage him in the luxurious Jet plane he hired...
"When the country was burning despite having been briefed on the problems, he left on an overseas trip in a private jet...
I am told it is the most luxurious in the world, where you pay Ksh 5 million per hour, complete with a bedroom, a sauna and even a massage parlour with four girls from Seychelles...
“He is enjoying himself in the air while Kenyans are struggling in the air.” the former DP added, in remarks certain to inflame an already volatile political atmosphere.

The explosive claims come as anger boils across the country over the deepening economic crisis and rising cost of living.
You will never have a dull day with Gachagua. 🤣🤣🤣

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) offices in Wote, Makueni County are on fire.
The precincts have been torched by protesters who took to the streets to demonstrate over the surge in fuel prices.
Videos that surfaced online on Monday, May 18, showed sparks of fire and smoke engulfing the visibly newly-painted and branded building. The protesters ignited the fire outside the office before it spread to burn a section of the building.
The rowdy protesters chanting 'wantam' slogans smashed window panes and broke some doors. It is not clear whether the protesters made off with any valuables, as the office appeared to have been ransacked. The inferno was contained before it could raze the premises. No arrests have been made, but police officers have vowed to take action against perpetrators.

Gospel singer Rachel Wandeto has died days after she was attacked by unknown assailants, MORGAN MEDIA has confirmed.
She has been undergoing treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital after being admitted with severe burn injuries.
She had been rushed to the facility following an attack in the Kasarani–Mwiki area, where she was allegedly doused with petrol and set on fire by unknown assailants.
The incident came months after Wandeto went viral after tattooing the face of President William Ruto alongside slogans associated with his re-election campaign. The move reportedly led to her husband of ten years leaving her following differences over their political ideologies.
The assailants are said to have assaulted her claiming she had received funds for supporting the president. When she reportedly said she had no money, they allegedly poured petrol on her and set her on fire. The incident sparked widespread outrage online, with artistes and members of the public condemning the attack and calling for justice.
Gospel singer Karangu Muraya earlier led a blood donation drive in an effort to save her life as she was prepared for surgery.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen also visited her in hospital after the surgery, pledging government support and promising that investigations would be pursued to bring those responsible to justice.
Investigations into the gruesome incident are underway.

Wandeto's death comes amid growing concern over violent attacks targeting women in recent days.
A 27-year-old woman died in Kiritiri, Mbeere South Constituency, after she was allegedly attacked with acid by unknown assailants. The victim, identified as Jackline Wanjiru, a mother of one, was reportedly heading to Kiritiri Market to carry out her daily miraa business when she was ambushed on Saturday, May 16, by men on a motorcycle.
The attackers are said to have splashed a liquid suspected to be acid on the two victims without any confrontation before fleeing under the cover of darkness.
Residents who heard loud screams rushed to the area and found the victims writhing in pain on the ground with severe burns.
She was rushed to Embu Level Five Hospital for treatment, but she succumbed to severe burns on her face, chest, and lower body despite doctors’ efforts.
Residents of Kutus Town take to the streets as frustration over anomalous skyrocketing of fuel prices boils over. Roads are blocked and bonfires on the road in protest against the high cost of living.
This comes amid nationalwide shutdown today over fuel prices crisis where all operations have been downed especially transport industry. The situation may further escalate if the government doesn't address the situation.
Only motorbikes are left to ferry pillion passengers to their respective destinations.

Schools are also reportedly closed due to the shutdown as some issued school closure today following transport disruption which would affect picking and dropping of kids to and from school. The communication was made via school WhatsApp groups.
Businesses are reported closed in most parts of the country as protestors engage in the nationalwide demos pushing for sanity in fuel industry and harmonization of fuel prices to ease burden for common mwananchi who is feeling the blunt of the harsh economy.
Crowds are surging in the streets express their frustrations and anger to the government over draconian fuel levies and high cost of living.
