Grief gas engulfed residents of Mute in Githunguri, Kiambu County after a middle aged man committed suicide by hanging after smiting his family.
The deceased is said to have killed his wife and their young child by slitting their throats subsequently ending his life.
A suicide note/ letter was also found his phone in form of a photo which he had taken from an exercise book where he had drafted it.
In the suicide letter he explains how domestic qualms with his siblings especially his brother prompted him to take end his life and that of his young family.
He further added he loved his wife and son so much and that's why he had to 'go' with them and couldn't leave them behind hence had to tragically end their lives. .
Residents sadly witnessed the gruesome decapitation of his family where the bodies were badly mutilated and blood strewn allover the scene.
His body too was found dangling in his their house.
The bodies has since been removed from the scene by the police as sleuths launch further probe on the macabre deaths.
