The Fool Behind Spewing Inflammatory Remarks Against Kikuyus Arrested

SUSPECT BEHIND VIRAL INFLAMMATORY POSTS ARRESTED IN MOMBASA

Detectives have apprehended David Onyango Elgon, aka MC Adek Tatu, the mastermind behind insensitive and inflammatory social media posts that have sparked widespread public outcry.

The offensive content, which was published on the suspect's Facebook account (MC Adek Tatu), has since gone viral across various social media platforms, threatening public order and peace. He later deleted the post after public backlash though many Kenyans on social media had already taken screenshots of the same.

Kenyans expressed outrage after the content creator allegedly celebrated the deaths of 16 students at Utumishi Girls Academy after the deadly dormitory fire.

According to the viral posts, he expressed hatred towards a particular community in Kenya, wishing that all the deaths had come from the region. The posts drew widespread backlash among Kenyans and leaders who have demanded the National Police Service (NPS) and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations arrest and prosecute him over the tribal remarks.

Hours after gaining online traction, the controversial Tiktoker claimed that the 'outrageous posts' were made during a national tragedy, claiming his account was hacked.

"Those outrageous posts were posted without my knowledge. Those sentiments are not attributed to me, and neither do they portray who I am. I strongly condemn such posts with utter remorse," he said, condemning divisions based on political beliefs.

In one of his egregious video, he is seen spewing distasteful remarks against a Kenyan community against (Kikuyu) claiming they add no value to the county. He further associates Kikuyus with all manner of vices which is seen to trigger tribal and ethnic hatred.

Acting swiftly on actionable intelligence, a team of detectives launched a manhunt, trailing the suspect to his hideout at Queen’s Court in Utange, Mombasa County, where he was arrested in his residential house.

The suspect is currently in custody, undergoing processing ahead of his arraignment.

Morgan Media reminds netizens that the digital space is not a lawless jungle. While we enjoy the freedom of expression, publishing or distributing inflammatory posts that incite public outcry and divide us as a nation is a crime. The public should use social media platforms responsibly.
