Grief has engulfed residents of Kabare in Gichugu, Kirinyaga County after a body of a woman was found dumped in a ditch near Kabare Senior School along Kutus-Kimunye road.
Ann Wawira, 49 years old was found murdered and her body dumped along Kutus-Kimunye road.
The body that was rained on by last night downpour in the area bore visible injuries clearly showing clear signs of duel with the assailant.
Police were called to the scene of incidence to pick the bore and as they launch investigation on the gruesome murder.
The main suspect to the macabre death of the woman is her husband. According to the preliminary reports it is speculated a domestic skirmish the deceased and her spouse may have led to the death. It is suspected the couple differed over sale of a cow may that escalated the disagreement eventually ending tragically.
Police have launched investigations to unravel what exactly transpired and the events leading up to the ghastly incident.
Irate members of the public expressed their anger to the husband who is held as the prime suspect of the murder. They briefly roughed him up baying for his blood before the police arrived to contain the situation.
