Teresio Ndwiga, 47, from Murinduko Ward, Kirinyaga County was lynched by irate mob for threatening to defile and kill his mother Esther Muthoni.
In the recent past the deceased had a series of altercations with his mother and other family members. He had a history of being unruly in the community and had committed several crimes which had prompted him to be jailed.
After he was rearrested he has been threatening to chop off 5 heads of his family members.
In 2019 he killed one of his sons after claiming he stole his 200/=. This prompted him to be arrested but later released after spending some time behind bars.
Subsequently he attacked his brother Peter Mwangi and went into hiding only to reappear later when he started threatening to smite his family members.
His mother narrated on how in the fateful night of Sunday some unknown people came to her home at night and took siege of her home.
Unbeknownst to Ndwiga the mob apprehended and took him to Murinduko hill forest where they mete mob justice on him ending his life.
They later reappeared the same night at her home and told her to go to the forest where the remains of her son were.
Muthoni was elated by the demise of her son claiming he had been a thorn in her flesh and that she will live happy afterwards without any worry of her life being prematurely terminated or that of her kin.
His brother has vowed the deceased should not be buried in their ancestral land.
The remains were picked by police and taken to the morgue.
