A middle aged man identified as Githinji from Ithareini Village, Kabare Ward Gichugu, Kirinyaga County has committed suicide.
The deceased is said to have a domestic brawl with his wife last night which is suspected to have prompted him to cut short his life.
His wife woke up and found his lifeless body dangling from the roof of their sitting room early this morning.
He was working as a watchman-cum-farmer.
Police is being waited to pick the body as investigation to his untimely death gets lauched.
Mental health owing to social-economic challenges is one of the reasons many are resorting to suicide in most parts of the country.
Such cases have been so rampant in Kirinyaga. Most of the cases are associated with domestic altercations between spouses.
Barely days a woman from Kimicha-Rurii village in Kanyakine Ward commited suicide by hanging.
The deceased is said to have committed botched suicide attempts 3 times before finally killing herself.
