Grief has engulfed locals of Kiambwe Village in Ndia, Kirinyaga County after a body of a 70 year woman was found murdered.
Hellen Muthoni's Mwai's lifeless body was found sprawled in her compound 20 meters from her homestead after she was killed by unknown assailants.

According to Kirinyaga West Sub-County Police Commander Moses Koskei Muthoni's body bore serious injuries inflicted on her during her death.
Her head appeared to have been hit using a blunt object.

The deceased sister Beatrice Wangari was alone in the compound and could not give account on what transpired.
"I cannot believe Muthoni is gone; we were chatting just yesterday," she lamented.
Equally a niece to Muthoni got a rude shock after learning of her aunt's untimely demise. Joyce Gakuhi had traveled from Kibirigwi market to visit her aunt but was distraught after finding her killed.
She added there have been bizzare and macabre murders stating this was not the first incidence witnessed in her family.
"We want justice for my aunt,"agrieved Joyce said.
The body has been taken to Kerugoya Hospital mortuary as police probe on the matter to unravel what transpired leading to the untimely death of the woman.
Police assured perpetrators will be arrested and arraigned in court for the murder.
