KARIA, KABARE: Decomposing Body Found In A Room, 'Koropa' Kills The Victim

DECOMPOSING BODY FOUND IN A ROOM, VICTIM ALLEGEDLY SUCCUMBED TO 'KOROPA'

 A body of a middle aged man identified as James Njinga was this morning found in a room in Karia Market in Kabare Ward, Kirinyaga East Sub-County (Gichugu), Kirinyaga County.

The body which was in decomposition state was spotted when residents spotted repugnant smell that rented in the air emanating from one of the rooms where the deceased lived.

According to a local the deceased was reported missing from Monday and his whereabouts were not known only to be discovered dead.

He is suspected to have succumbed to Kropper brew christened 'koropa' which is taking lives of imbibers in the area.

Police arrived at the scene and picked the body for more as they launch more probe on the death. 

This comes barely a day after another  man was found dead in Kiamiciri after taking the same illicit liquor.

Cases of the imbibers succumbing to the infamous Kropper liquor are rampant in many boozing dens in Kirinyaga.

Locals are calling on the authority to help curb the preparation, sale and consumption of the liquor in the county.

Typically Kropper brew immobilizers and 'slows down' brain and nervous system which also cause immediate and often irreversible shutdown of vital functions leading to death of the victim.
